EBMX 72V 15A Fast Charger — Sur Ron, Segway & Talaria

The EBMX 72V 15A fast charger is the purpose-built charging solution for EBMX battery packs on the Sur Ron Light Bee X, Segway X160, Segway X260, Talaria MX3, and Talaria MX4 platforms. At 15 amps output it charges approximately 40 to 50 percent faster than a standard charger — cutting your charge time from 5 to 8 hours down to 3 to 4 hours and getting you back on the trail faster.

⚠ IMPORTANT — EBMX BATTERIES ONLY

This charger works exclusively with genuine EBMX battery packs. It does NOT work with stock Sur Ron batteries, stock Segway batteries, stock Talaria batteries, or any non-EBMX aftermarket battery. It also does NOT work with the Talaria XXX under any configuration. Always verify your battery is a genuine EBMX unit before connecting this charger.

SAFE CHARGING — BEST PRACTICES

Allow the battery to cool to room temperature after riding before connecting the fast charger. Charging a hot battery at 15A generates additional heat that affects long-term cell health.

Do not charge in temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius or 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Disconnect the charger once the green LED confirms full charge rather than leaving it connected indefinitely.

Store the battery at 50 to 70 percent charge during extended non-use periods.

Do not use this charger with any battery other than a genuine EBMX pack.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does this charger work with my stock battery?
No. It works only with genuine EBMX battery packs. Stock Sur Ron, Segway and Talaria batteries are not compatible. If you are unsure which battery you have, contact our team before ordering.
Why does it not work with the Talaria XXX?
The Talaria XXX uses a different battery architecture and charge port from the MX3 and MX4. It is not compatible with this charger regardless of battery fitted. Contact us for XXX-specific charging options.
How much faster is 15A compared to standard?
Standard EBMX charger: approximately 5 to 8 hours full charge. EBMX 15A fast charger: approximately 3 to 4 hours full charge. Real-world saving of 2 to 4 hours per session depending on starting charge level.
Does it work in the UK and USA without an adapter?
Yes. The 100 to 240V AC input covers both UK (230V) and US (120V) mains voltage. You may need a plug shape adapter but no voltage converter is required.
Is it safe to leave connected after a full charge?
The charger automatically terminates when full and has overcharge protection. Best practice is to disconnect once the green LED shows to maximise long-term battery health.
Does fast charging damage EBMX batteries?
When used correctly with a genuine EBMX battery at ambient temperature, no. The charger is designed for the EBMX battery's cell chemistry and charge acceptance rate. Key rule: always allow the battery to cool before charging after a hard session.
